2010 was another amazing and rewarding year of ministry for us at World Orphans. The lives of over 3,000 orphans and vulnerable children were impacted – children in desperate conditions resulting from AIDS, poverty, abuse, war, natural disasters and death. As we work to encourage and enable churches to care for orphans and widows in their communities, lives are changed, hope is renewed.
It has also been a challenging year. Like many non-profits, the economy has taken its toll. We were blessed with yet another year of increased donations, but our operations funding has lagged. As a staff person, my position is funded partially by our operations budget and partially though the generous donations of individual supporters.
We have been amazed by the encouragement and prayer we have received over the past four years. For that we are extremely grateful. Many of you have also come alongside us with financial support. Again, we are grateful.
In 2011, Debbie and I are hoping to decrease the amount of our support that comes from World Orphans’ operations budget, freeing more of those dollars to be allocated to projects where it is needed so badly. To do that, we need your help. As 2010 comes to a close, would you consider either a one-time gift or monthly contribution to our ministry?
We would be honored by your partnership. Giving is simple—you can either send a check to World Orphans at P.O. Box 1840, Castle Rock, CO, 80104, or make an online donation through our website by clicking here. Just note “Vair support” in the memo field.
We wish you a happy and healthy New Year. We are blessed by your friendship and thankful for the many ways you have supported and continue to walk with us in our work with World Orphans. Our commitment to and passion for this ministry continues to grow, and we appreciate the opportunity to share it with you.
Scott and Debbie Vair
